Steps to make to make Basundi

  1. Take a thick bottom pan and pour milk for boiling.
  2. Keep stirring the milk occasionally.
    once the milk comes to a boil, put the flame on low and keep it stirring occasionally. Let the milk reduce.
  3. After 5-10 minutes add chopped cashew, almonds and pistachios to the boiling milk and keep stirring.
  4. Till then Soak saffron in 2 tbsp of hot milk

    When milk is reduced to quarter add sugar and saffron mix. Stir well again and let the sugar dissolve completely
  5. Boil for another 5 -10 minutes or till the milk thickens completely.
    Now add ¼ tsp cardamom powder and mix well.
  6. Switch off the flame and take it out in the serving bowl.
  7. Garnish with some more dry fruits
    serve basundi chilled or hot
